What’s been happening:

I was hired full-time as an Energy Consultant/Advisor and Natural Gas Procurement Specialist with The E Group, a division of FirstEnergy Solutions Corp based in Akron, OH. I interned with this group previously, so it has been a relatively smooth transition into the full-time work environment. I am the Natural Gas Supply Side Manager for 6 large corporations and an energy spend exceeding $4 million dollars. Outside of work, I have continued to be involved with Penn State, including representing my company at Penn State's Fall and Spring Days as a Corporate Recruiter, as well as coming back to be an Alumni Guest Lecturer and Presenter for the EMSC 401 (Corporate Finance) course in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences taught by Mr. H. Dean Bunnell & supervised by Dr. Andrew Kleit. I will be looking to complete my CEP (Certified Energy Procurement Professional) and CEM (Certified Energy Manager) Certifications sometime in 2009. Many changes have occurred in my personal life, as well. I am engaged to Jennifer Grier (B.S., Meteorology, 2008) and our wedding date is October 24, 2009. It is an exciting time for the both of us, as we prepare to embark on life's journey together. It is also nice to both be alums of Penn State; hopefully, our family will be able to keep strong ties with friends, faculty, & other individuals that we met during our years at PSU. We Are!
